My client is a fast growing logistics business with a network of 11 sites in the UK currently with further expansion plans on the horizon.. You will be working in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same.
Due to further expansion they are seeking a Network Transport Planner to join their friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is motivated and ambitious and looking to build a career.
Responsibilities

Planning deliveries and collections via the pallet network , using TMS but manual planning experience also required

Maximising the use of 30 vehicles daily in the most cost effective and efficient way

Maintaining regular contact with drivers

Ensuring customers are updated on any delays or issues

Supporting the customer service team with day to day customer contact

Working in conjunction with other internal departments such as customer service and compliance

Liaising with sub contractors and agencies if required
Skills required
-
Previous transport planning experience / pallet network an advantage

Strong Uk geographical knowledge

Understanding of WTD and drivers legislation

Strong communication skills

Working hours Monday – Friday 12.00 – 20.00
