Trident Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller – Programmer, Setter & Operator to join a well-established subcontract precision engineering company based in Gloucester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Miller who is confident taking components from engineering drawing through to finished part, working across both 3-Axis and 5-Axis CNC milling machines.
The Role
You will be responsible for:

Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines

Working across 3-Axis and 5-Axis machining
-
Programming using Fanuc, Heidenhain and/or Mazatrol controls

Producing one-off and small-batch precision components
-
Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings

Selecting tooling, speeds and feeds
-
Carrying out in-process inspection using standard measuring equipment

Working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards

Supporting continuous improvement and reducing machining cycle times
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with:
-
Strong CNC milling experience

Programming, setting and operating capability
-
Experience with 3-Axis and/or 5-Axis CNC machinery

Knowledge of Fanuc, Heidenhain or Mazatrol

Experience within a subcontract precision engineering environment

Ability to work independently from engineering drawings

Good understanding of tooling, workholding and machining processes
Package
Up to £25.00 per hour, depending on experience
