Rate: £450 - £500 p/d Inside IR35 (Umbrella PAYE)
Location: Aberdeen
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 45 hours per week
Length of Contract: This is a long-term project expected to continue into the early 2030s.
Are you an experienced Site Agent with a background in civil engineering, enabling works or major infrastructure projects looking for your next long-term contract opportunity within the Energy sector? We are looking for a Site Agent to support the delivery of a new substation project in Aberdeen.
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the civils works on site, initially focusing on the early enabling phase including demolition, site clearance, site and ground investigations and service diversions.
The role will involve working closely with utility companies and managing subcontractors across demolition, piling, foundations and FRC works, ensuring activities are delivered safely, correctly and in accordance with the programme and project requirements.
As the project progresses, works will move into the construction of a new steel portal frame building, transformer bases and associated civils including foundations, drainage and ducting.
Job Role
Managing the day-to-day delivery of civils and enabling works across the project
Supervising demolition, site clearance, site investigation and ground investigation works
Liaising with utility companies regarding service disconnections and diversions
Managing subcontractors across foundation, piling and FRC works
Overseeing the setup of the site compound and associated services
Coordinating site teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered to programme
Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with project specifications and standards
Supporting the delivery of transformer bases, foundations, drainage and ducting as the project progresses
Requirements
Previous experience as a Site Agent / Senior Site Agent or similar
Strong civil engineering and construction background
Experience managing demolition and enabling works
Experience dealing with utility companies and service diversions
Good understanding of foundations, piling and FRC works
Experience managing subcontractors and small site teams
Strong understanding of site health & safety
Experience working on infrastructure or major construction projects
Previous substation / T&D experience would be advantageous but is not essential
Ideally located within reasonable travelling distance of Aberdeen
