HSEQ Advisor- Aberdeen
Requirements
Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all legislation and any developments that affect the Company’s activities.
Carry out regular workplace inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and identify improvements.
Assist line managers to identify training needs to ensure HSEQ compliance; the development and delivery of appropriate training programmes where appropriate; and the evaluation of training by external providers.
Help to achieve annual HSEQ objectives as set out by the HSEQ Manager.
Prepare HSEQ information for customer business reviews, supplier questionnaires, and tenders.
Assist with the maintenance of the document management system for company, including the HSEQ manual and master controlled documents registers, and HSEQ SharePoint sites, including registers within, e.g. hazardous substances register, risk assessment register, etc.
Collate sustainability information, e.g. waste figures, for the HSEQ Manager to input monthly data into Resource Advisor.
Assist managers in determining optimum working practices by supporting the risk assessment process and advising on risk reduction measures.
Encourage all employees to submit observations (positive, improvement suggestions, maintenance, hazardous condition, at risk behaviour, and near miss).
Assist with the recording of all incidents, accidents, non-conformances, complaints, cases of ill health, and environmental incidents, undertake investigations to determine root causes using an established investigation process, utilise the Just Culture decision tree, and make recommendations to avoid recurrence.
Assist line managers to monitor HSEQ compliance and performance of subcontractors on the Company’s premises under permit to work.
Work with Stores/Procurement to evaluate, control, monitor, and manage approved suppliers.
Arrange, prepare for, and attend the Company’s HSEQ Representative Committee meetings.
Provide HSEQ information to facilitate toolbox talks.
Provide HSEQ representation at daily Ops calls as required and all other scheduled meetings, e.g. weekly NCR meetings, open observations/overdue actions meetings.
Requirements

Previous HSEQ experience.

Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.

Attention to detail.

Knowledge of SharePoint would be advantageous but not essential.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Knowledge of the risk assessment process .

Ability to work effectively with others.

NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (minimum requirement).

Internal auditor (minimum requirement).
Salary- £40-50K DOE
