We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a highly skilled Service Advisor to join their reputable dealership in Derby, Derbyshire. This is a permanent, full-time position ideal for an individual with proven experience within the automotive aftersales sector.

Up to £38,000 basic salary, DOE
Monday to Friday working hours, 8:00am–6:00pm
Rotational Saturday mornings, 8:00am–1:00pm

Career development opportunities within the dealershipDuties of the Service Advisor:
Welcome customers and manage service, maintenance, repair, and MOT bookings
Listen to customer requirements and identify vehicle issues
Prepare accurate job cards with detailed estimates
Explain required work to customers and obtain authorisation
Provide regular updates on vehicle progress and costs
Liaise closely with technicians, workshop controllers, parts staff, and warranty teams
Promote service plans, maintenance products, and additional services
Complete professional vehicle handovers, explaining work performed and ensuring invoice accuracy
Maintain high standards of administration and manufacturer compliance
Contribute to high levels of customer satisfaction and dealership performanceRequirements of the Service Advisor:
Proven experience as a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor, or similar customer-facing automotive role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confidently explain technical information to customers
Calm, positive, and professional attitude in a busy environment
Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Commercial awareness with a commitment to customer service
Proficient in dealership management systems (Keyloop, Kerridge, 1Link desirable)
