Bench Hand Joiner
Location: Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire
Pay: £16.00-£17.50 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday - Friday, Day Shift
Duration: Temporary - Projects throughout October

Barker Ross are currently recruiting for 3-4 experienced Bench Hand Joiners to support a busy client working on a number of high-end Christmas projects throughout October.
The role will involve producing bespoke pieces for retail window displays and in-store activations, with each project varying in design and specification.
We are looking for skilled joiners who have strong workshop experience and are confident producing high-quality bespoke work from drawings and specifications.
Duties will include:
Manufacturing bespoke joinery for retail displays and installations
Working with MDF, timber and other materials
Producing display units, structures and bespoke components
Working from drawings, designs and measurements
Cutting, assembling and finishing products to a high standard
Using a range of workshop machinery and hand/power tools
Ensuring all work is accurate and finished to a high standard
Working across a variety of Christmas retail and display projectsThe ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience as a Bench Hand Joiner, Joiner or Cabinet Maker
Strong workshop joinery experience
Experience working with MDF and timber
Ability to read and work from drawings
Good knowledge of joinery machinery and tools
Excellent attention to detail
Experience producing bespoke or high-quality finished products
Ability to work independently and as part of a teamPrevious experience within shopfitting, exhibition builds, set building, bespoke furniture or retail display manufacturing would be highly advantageous.
This role will involve working on a variety of projects throughout October, so candidates who are available for the full month or for multiple project dates are encouraged to apply.
