We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients, a specialist manufacturer of components for the MOD.
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring steel fabrications, machined components and other manufactured items meet engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect components and fabrications against engineering drawings and specifications.

Carry out dimensional checks using tapes, verniers, micrometres and go/no-go gauges.

Identify and report defects, discrepancies and non-conformances.

Complete inspection records and maintain accurate quality documentation.

Carry out visual checks of fabrications, including weld finish where required.

Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.

Follow company quality, health & safety and defence industry standards.
Requirements

Previous experience in a Quality Inspector or similar role within engineering, fabrication or manufacturing.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.

Experience using handheld measuring equipment.

Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.

Knowledge of weld finish quality would be beneficial but is not essential.
Hours of Work :
Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 3:30pm
Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm
