Fettler
Inspire Resourcing are seeking a skilled and motivated Fettler to join our client in a busy manufacturing and foundry environment. This hands-on role involves repairing, grinding, and finishing steel to the required quality standards while adhering to strict safety procedures. The successful candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production setting.

Key Responsibilities

Remove defects from steel using arc-air gouging equipment, grinders, burrs, stones, and other finishing tools.

Carry out welding repairs in line with approved welding procedures and quality standards.

Grind and dress repaired areas to restore the original profile and finish.

Inspect for defects and assist with quality control processes.

Operate hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Support continuous improvement activities within the production area.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production and quality targets.
Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in welding, fabrication, grinding, fettling, or a similar mechanical role.

Experience working within a foundry, heavy engineering, or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

Ability to read and follow welding procedures and work instructions.

Good understanding of health and safety requirements within an industrial setting.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
