The Client
Interaction Technical are recruiting on behalf of a specialist engineering business based in Northampton. Due to an increase in project workload, our client is looking to recruit an experienced CAD Designer on a part-time contract basis to support ongoing mechanical and hydraulic design projects.

The Role
As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for producing detailed engineering drawings and supporting the design of mechanical and hydraulic systems for a range of bespoke engineering applications.
Key Responsibilities
Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Fusion 360.
Produce detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
Support the design and development of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Update existing drawings and technical documentation.
Work closely with engineers and project teams to meet project requirements.
Ensure designs are accurate, practical, and suitable for manufacture.
Assist with design improvements and engineering modifications as required.
Maintain drawing revision control and engineering documentation.
Requirements
Previous experience as a CAD Designer, CAD Engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Designer, or similar role.
Proficient in Fusion 360.
Strong mechanical engineering understanding.
Experience working with hydraulic systems would be highly desirable.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Experience within manufacturing, machinery, automation, plant, hydraulics, or special-purpose machinery environments would be advantageous.
