Location: Nottingham Salary: £50,000–£55,000 Start: ASAP Sector: Demolition / Strip-Out / Construction

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join an established demolition and strip-out contractor based in Nottingham.

The company operates nationwide, with the majority of its work across the Midlands, delivering projects ranging from small works through to approximately £1m.

The Role

Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for demolition and strip-out projects
Review tender enquiries, drawings, specifications and scopes of work
Produce detailed take-offs and pricing
Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations
Assess project risks, costs and requirements
Assist with tender submissions and commercial negotiations
Work across industrial, commercial and residential projects
Predominantly deal with internal strip-outs and demolition works
Manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
Support the business in securing new work
Projects typically range from £1,000 to £1m
Nationwide operations, with a strong Midlands focus
Work closely with the operational team to ensure accurate project handovers

Requirements

Previous estimating experience within demolition is highly desirable
Experience within strip-out, enabling works or a related construction sector will be considered
Strong understanding of demolition methodologies and associated costs
Ability to interpret drawings and project specifications
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
Good communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
Ideally based within commuting distance of Nottingham
