Healthcare Assistants – Agency Work
Location: Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas
Day Rate: From £16.00 per hour (umbrella rate)
Night Rate: From £20.00 per hour (umbrella rate)
Contract: Temporary agency work – flexible shifts
Austin Dean Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to work across a variety of care settings throughout the Cambridgeshire region.
Assignments are available in settings including:

Residential care homes
-
Nursing homes
-
Day care centres
Your Responsibilities
Depending on the placement, your duties may include:
-
Supporting individuals with personal care and daily living activities
-
Assisting with mobility, meals and hydration
-
Providing emotional support and companionship
-
Promoting independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing
-
Supporting activities within care homes and day centres
-
Accurately completing care records and daily notes
-
Following care plans, safeguarding procedures and infection-control guidance
-
Reporting concerns or changes in an individual’s condition
-
Working professionally alongside permanent staff and other healthcare professionals
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:

Previous UK experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant or Support Worker

The right to work in the UK

A satisfactory Enhanced DBS certificate, preferably registered with the DBS Update Service

Up-to-date mandatory care training
-
A good understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and person-centred care
-
Good verbal and written communication skills
-
A caring, reliable and professional approach
-
Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends or bank holidays where required
-
Satisfactory employment references covering your recent work history
A driving licence and access to your own vehicle may be beneficial for some assignments but are not essential for every role.
