We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established client based in Dukinfield for an experienced Shot Blaster to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Shot Blaster looking for a long-term position, with immediate starts available.
The Role
As a Shot Blaster, your responsibilities will include:

Shot blasting a range of parts and components.

Stripping and removing old surfaces in preparation for powder coating and painting.

Following job orders, specifications, and work instructions.

Safely moving larger parts using an FLT and/or overhead crane where required.

Wearing the appropriate PPE, including a re-breather and blasting helmet.

Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working area.

Following all company health and safety procedures.
Requirements
-
Previous experience as a Shot Blaster is essential.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Good understanding of health and safety within an industrial setting.

Counterbalance FLT licence.
-
Overhead Crane licence.
Candidates who hold both a Counterbalance FLT and Overhead Crane licence will be eligible for the higher rate of pay.
Pay Rates
-
£14.50 per hour (£15.80 per hour with shift allowance) – Must hold either a Counterbalance FLT or Overhead Crane licence.

£15.00 per hour (£16.35 per hour with shift allowance) – Must hold both Counterbalance FLT and Overhead Crane licences.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 12:00am
37.5 hours per week
