Analytical Development Chemist
Location: Haverhill
Salary: circa £40,000 per annum

PureKat Consultancy is recruiting for an experienced Analytical Development Chemist to join the R&D team for our client based in Haverhill.
Your duties as an Analytical Development Chemist will include:

Developing, optimising and pre-validating analytical methods for APIs, polymers, drug product formulations, particularly amorphous solid dispersions, intermediates and raw materials

Primarily using HPLC, UHPLC and GC, including hyphenated techniques such as LC-MS and GC-MS

Supporting the development of analytical methods

Supporting analytical method transfers and troubleshooting activities

Investigating analytical issues

Generating high-quality technical documentation

Collaborating with R&D, Quality and Manufacturing teams to ensure the seamless integration of analytical methods

Maintaining compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), ICH guidelines and internal quality systems.

Working with a range of analytical techniques.
The ideal candidate will have:

A BSc, MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related discipline, or extensive relevant industrial experience.

Proven experience in analytical method development, ideally gained within a pharmaceutical, contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) or similarly regulated environment.

Strong hands-on experience with HPLC, UHPLC and/or GC instrumentation and associated software.

Familiarity with regulatory expectations relating to analytical methods used for API release testing.

Experience with analytical method development, optimisation and troubleshooting.

Good technical report writing and documentation skills.

Knowledge and understanding of cGMP and ICH guidelines would be highly desirable.

Strong analytical and scientific problem-solving skills.
