We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Workshop Production Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment. The role involves preparing steel components, supporting fabrication and welding processes, carrying out assembly and finishing work, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare, measure, mark and cut steel components using workshop equipment.

Support welders by preparing materials and components.

Operate hand and power tools, machinery and fabrication equipment safely.

Carry out component assembly, finishing, painting and protective coating tasks.

Handle and move materials using appropriate lifting equipment.

Inspect components and finished products for quality and accuracy.

Complete production and quality records accurately.

Record manufacturing information using PCs, tablets or production systems.

Report equipment faults, shortages and safety concerns.

Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.

Work effectively with colleagues and supervisors to meet production targets.
Essential Skills
Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious, with good attention to detail and the ability to work well as part of a team. Comfortable with manual work, following instructions and using basic hand tools. Basic numeracy and computer skills required.
Desirable Skills
Previous workshop, manufacturing or production experience is preferred. Experience with hand/power tools, machinery, assembly or fabrication is an advantage. Technical drawing, quality inspection, crane or forklift experience would be beneficial.
