We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a well-established client operating within the Precision Engineering sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with a strong background in precision engineering and hands-on experience programming CMMs from CAD models.
The Role:
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that precision-engineered components meet the required quality standards and customer specifications. You will work closely with the production and engineering teams, using a range of inspection equipment and techniques to verify dimensional accuracy and product quality.
Key responsibilities will include:

Inspecting precision-engineered components to drawing, specification and customer requirements.

Programming and operating CMMs using CAD models.

Carrying out dimensional inspection using a range of conventional and specialist metrology equipment.

Interpreting engineering drawings, CAD models and GD&T.

Identifying and reporting non-conformances and supporting corrective actions.

Producing accurate inspection reports and maintaining quality documentation.

Working closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.

Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of quality throughout the manufacturing process.
About You:
The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience working as a Quality Inspector within a precision engineering/manufacturing environment.

Proven experience programming CMMs from CAD models.

Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Good knowledge of dimensional inspection and measurement techniques.

A high level of attention to detail and a methodical approach to quality.

The ability to work independently as well as effectively within a wider engineering team.
Experience with relevant CMM software and knowledge of GD&T would be highly advantageous.
