CNC PRESS BRAKE SETTER
PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY
PAY: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour + £21 nightshift allowance
HOURS: Nights (Sun – Thurs 22:00 – 06:00)
Our client is hiring for experienced CNC Press Brake Setters to join their nightshift fabrication team. This is a hands‑on role for skilled setters who can confidently operate CNC press brakes, interpret engineering drawings and produce high‑quality folded components to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities

Set and operate CNC press brakes

Read engineering drawings and technical specifications

Select correct tooling and machine settings

Produce accurate folded components to tight tolerances

Complete first‑off and in‑process quality checks

Use measuring equipment including verniers, rulers and angle gauges

Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy
-
Work to production schedules and meet output targets
Skills & Experience
Essential
-
Previous experience as a Press Brake Setter/Operator
-
Confident setting and operating CNC press brakes
-
Ability to bend a range of materials and thicknesses
-
Strong ability to read engineering drawings
-
Experience selecting tooling and adjusting machine settings
-
Able to work accurately to tight tolerances
-
Good understanding of fabrication processes

Excellent attention to detail
-
Reliable, positive attitude, strong work ethic

Able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
-
Experience with Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf or similar machinery
-
Counterbalance forklift licence
-
Crane/lifting equipment experience
-
Fabrication or sheet metal background
