QUALITY INSPECTOR
PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY
Pay: £13.00 - £16.00 per hour
Hours: Days 10:00 – 18:00

Our client is hiring for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their busy manufacturing team in Nottingham. This is a hands‑on, shop‑floor role inspecting fabricated and manufactured components to ensure they meet customer drawings, tolerances and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Component inspection of fabricated and manufactured parts

Checking parts against engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications

Using inspection tools including verniers, micrometers, height gauges

Completing first‑off, in‑process and final inspections

Identifying and reporting non‑conforming products

Working closely with production teams to resolve quality issues

Completing inspection and quality documentation
-
Ensuring measuring equipment is used and maintained correctly
-
Supporting continuous improvement across the site

Final inspection of completed jobs prior to despatch

Checking quantities, paperwork and quality documentation before goods leave site

Liaising with production and despatch teams to resolve issues before release
Skills & Experience
Essential:
-
Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or Engineering Inspector

Ability to confidently read engineering drawings

Experience using measuring and inspection equipment

Strong understanding of tolerances and dimensional inspection
-
Excellent attention to detail
-
Good communication skills and confidence to raise quality concerns
Desirable:
- Experience in laser cutting, sheet metal, fabrication, welding or precision engineering
