CNC Operator (Milling or Turning)
Role Type: Full time, permanent
Location: Redditch
Salary: £15 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (7am until 4pm) and Friday (7am until 12pm)
Role Overview
The company is a subcontract-machining specialist that supplies CNC turned parts, sub-assemblies, and precision-engineered components. The company utilizes advanced CNC machinery, including multi-axis milling machines, sliding-head and fixed-head lathes, alongside conventional multi-spindle equipment. They were founded in 1986 and have a strong order book.
Key Responsibilities

Operate CNC milling machines or CNC lathes.

Manufacture components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications

Ensure all work meets company quality procedures and standards

Perform routine preventative and general machine maintenance checks

Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all HSE regulations

Support housekeeping standards and follow 5S practices
Skills & Competencies

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Previous experience operating CNC machinery.

Understanding of geometrical tolerances (desired).

High attention to detail and quality-focused approach

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Strong team player with a proactive, “can-do” attitude
