Our client is a startup building a platform that connects hospitality venues, bars, restaurants, pubs, clubs and hotels with local consumers looking for great offers in their area.
We're looking for a driven, self motivated Business Development Executive to lead the first wave of venue signups in Brighton. This is a ground floor opportunity: you'll be shaping how to approach the market and building relationships that form the foundation of the platform.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
• Mapping the territory- identifying and prioritising hospitality venues across Brighton worth approaching
• Finding the right contacts and researching venues to identify owners, managers or decision-makers
• Setting up meetings, reaching out and securing time with prospects, by phone, email or in person
• Attending meetings and presenting the platform and its value clearly and confidently
• Closing the sale and converting interest into sign-ups: free onboarding to the platform
• Building and owning your own pipeline from first contact through to signed subscriber
• Feeding back market insight to help shape the wider sales approach as we grow
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Proven experience in business development, field sales, or new business sales and ideally with a track record of closing deals independently
• Comfortable working autonomously with minimal day to day supervision. This is a standalone role, so self-motivation and personal accountability are essential
• Strong communication and relationship building skills; confident presenting to business owners and decision-makers
• Resilient and target-driven
• Well organised, able to manage your own diary, pipeline and follow-ups
• Interest in or knowledge of the hospitality sector is a plus, but not essential
• Based in or able to easily cover the Brighton area
WHAT'S ON OFFER
• £1,200 per month
• Flexible hours. Work the role around your life, provided the results are there
• Part time commitment with genuine autonomy over how you structure your time
• The chance to get in early with a growing platform and directly shape its go-to-market approach in a new city
• Potential to grow the role in scope, hours or geography, as the platform expands beyond Brighton
