Maintenance Engineer
Location: Poynton
Salary: £36,000 per annum
Hourly Rate: £18.77 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00
Flexibility: Flexibility required, including call-outs where necessary
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, electrical testing, general repairs, and ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
You will be required to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and assets using our cloud-based safety and maintenance system, Atlas, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.
Diagnose and repair electrical and general maintenance faults.
Undertake electrical testing and inspection in line with relevant standards.
Complete general handyman and building maintenance tasks where required.
Carry out EET / PAT testing and maintain accurate records.
Use IPAF equipment safely and effectively where required.
Record maintenance activities, inspections and asset information using the Atlas cloud-based safety system.
Use Microsoft Excel and Word to maintain documentation and reports.
Ensure all maintenance work is completed in accordance with health and safety requirements.
Respond to maintenance issues and call-outs when required.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and management.
Maintain a clean, safe and professional working environment.
Key Requirements & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
Up-to-date Electrical Qualification - NVQ Level 3
2391 Testing & Inspection Qualification - industrial site experience desirable.
Previous general maintenance / handyman experience.
Valid IPAF Licence.
EET / PAT Testing qualification or training.
Good IT skills, with confidence using Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience or ability to work with cloud-based safety and maintenance systems; experience with Atlas is desirable.
Good organisational and communication skills.
A flexible approach to working hours, including call-outs when required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
Welding certification
Previous experience working within an industrial environment.
