Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting for an experienced Engineer to join a leading global organisation within the laboratory science and filtration technology sector.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineering professional to play a key role in delivering critical performance testing and technical data for filtration systems and hardware products. Working within a modern laboratory environment, you will collaborate closely with engineering, project and cross-functional teams to ensure testing programmes are delivered to the highest standards, on time and within budget.
The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who enjoys working independently while contributing to wider project objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Test Preparation
Review project requests, laboratory methods, SOPs and relevant safety documentation.
Interpret customer and project requirements to develop suitable test plans.
Ensure appropriate equipment, materials and resources are available.
Coordinate testing schedules and identify any resource conflicts.
Prepare and maintain accurate test documentation and datasheets.Testing & Analysis
Assemble and configure laboratory test apparatus.
Operate, monitor and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
Conduct engineering and performance tests in accordance with established procedures.
Accurately record raw data and observations.
Communicate any delays, deviations or technical issues to laboratory management.
Analyse results and support project teams with technical findings.Reporting & Documentation
Produce accurate laboratory reports within agreed timelines.
Record project hours and maintain comprehensive testing records.
Ensure all data is documented in accordance with internal quality standards.Laboratory Support
Support laboratory systems including purchasing, calibration and inventory management.
Carry out preventative maintenance activities.
Assist with laboratory housekeeping and improvements.
Deliver peer training where required and maintain training records.
Participate in customer audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute ideas that enhance laboratory efficiency and performance.About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Engineering Science or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an engineering or laboratory testing environment.
Understanding of filtration, separation and purification technologies.
Experience conducting technical testing and analysing engineering data.
Full UK Driving Licence and valid passport.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.Key Skills
