This is a great opportunity for an experienced structural engineer who enjoys solving challenging problems, working with good people and having a real say in how projects are delivered.
You’ll provide technical leadership across a varied portfolio, working alongside engineers, technicians and wider multidisciplinary teams.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING 🔹 Leading and supporting a team of engineers and technicians
🔹 Producing and checking structural designs, calculations and drawings
🔹 Providing technical guidance and mentoring
🔹 Working closely with clients and project stakeholders
🔹 Managing quality, programme and commercial requirements
🔹 Supporting bids and winning new work
🔹 Getting involved with exciting, technically challenging projects
☢️ AND THEN THERE'S THE NUCLEAR WORK... The team has an exciting portfolio across nuclear, defence, decommissioning, waste management, SMRs and new nuclear build, alongside wider complex infrastructure projects.
If you've already worked in nuclear or another highly regulated environment, that's a real advantage.
If you haven't, but you're an experienced structural engineer who is interested in taking your career in that direction, we'd still love to hear from you.
Experience of nuclear safety culture, regulated environments or NSQEP would be particularly valuable.
COULD THIS BE YOU? We're interested in speaking with Chartered Structural Engineers who have:
✔ Strong building structures experience
✔ Experience leading or mentoring engineers and technicians
✔ Good knowledge of Structural Eurocodes and Building Regulations
✔ Experience with Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds or similar
✔ Strong technical judgement and attention to detail
✔ The confidence to work with clients and senior stakeholders
✔ A genuine interest in developing people and delivering great engineering
