MIG WELDER FABRICATOR - JOB OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE IN TELFORD (SHROPSHIRE)
Are you an experienced MIG Welder Fabricator, Fabricator Welder, Fabricator, MIG Welder, Coded Welder, Welder Fabricator or a Mechanical Fitter with Welding & Fabrication experience seeking a new job?!
We are proud to be working with an Engineering business based in Telford who are actively looking for an experienced MIG Welder Fabricator to join them on a permanent basis, the standard working hours for this job are 7.45am - 16.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.45am - 12.15pm Friday (37.5 hours per week), and the role comes with an hourly rate between £16.50 - £18.00 per hour (DOE) - Equivalent of an annual salary of £33,000 - £35,000 per annum.
Overtime opportunities available and paid at T1/2 for anything worked over 37.5 hours in the week and on a Saturday, and double time on a Sunday.
Whilst the majority of your job role will be fabricating and MIG Welding mild steel, you will also be responsible for carrying out fitting work on heavy machinery encompassing Mechanical, Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems.
The hiring manager would ideally like someone who has come from the Heavy Industry / Heavy Engineering industry.
What You Will Do:
Read and interpret welding and fabrication requirements to support high-quality output as a MIG Welder Fabricator.
Produce and assemble fabrication components using MIG welding processes to required standards.
Maintain clean, safe working practices in line with workshop procedures and health and safety expectations.
Carry out basic checks to ensure work is accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose in every stage of production.
Support the wider team with continuous improvement by keeping production moving and raising issues early.
Help maintain efficient workshop workflow so the MIG Welder Fabricator role delivers reliable results day after day.
What You Will Bring:
Previous fabrication and MIG Welding experience - ESSENTIAL
Practical experience with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including fault diagnosis and repair work.
A safety-first mindset and willingness to follow procedures for safe lifting and working practices.
The ability to work accurately, keep documentation up to date and inspect work to required standards.
