P+S Recruitment are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including creating, maintaining and reviewing purchase orders.
Monitor and manage the purchase order book, ensuring orders are placed and delivered in line with business requirements.
Expedite outstanding orders by working closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and accurate information throughout the process.
Track, trace and communicate order progress, delivery schedules and supplier updates to key stakeholders.
Monitor and proactively manage stock levels across the other branches to maintain product availability.
Identify and manage potential stock shortages, excess inventory and replenishment requirements.
Coordinate and manage stock transfers between branches, identifying opportunities to reduce transfer frequency and volume.
Work closely with suppliers to resolve account issues, including credit holds and stop statuses, to minimise disruption to operations.
Collaborate with the Sales team to identify potential shortages, MOV and MOQ challenges, and proactively implement solutions.
Maintain Certificates of Conformity and ensure accurate records and audit trails are kept.
Coordinate and manage branch stock takes from planning through to completion and reconciliation.
Review daily workload, prioritise activities and ensure critical tasks are completed effectively.
Act as a key communication link between Sales, Purchasing, Warehousing and Suppliers to ensure alignment and efficient operations.
Maintain accurate procurement, inventory and supplier records within Oracle and PIM systems.
Provide general operational and administrative support, along with additional/ad hoc duties as required to meet business needs.
Person Specification:
Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, stock control or operational coordination.
Experience working with ERP systems (ideally OGL).
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Self-motivated and highly organised, able to multitask and work to tight deadlines.
High focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Proactive and able to use initiative.
Team player with a flexible approach.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).
Experience of supplier management and expediting activities (desired).
