Holt Engineering Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Logistics Coordinator/Stores Person to join a well-established manufacturing and engineering business.
This is a varied, hands-on supply chain position combining stores, inventory control, goods in/out and shipping coordination. You’ll play an important role in ensuring materials are available for production, stock records remain accurate, and finished goods are dispatched to customers on time.
We’re looking for someone with a strong warehouse/logistics background who is organised, accurate and comfortable working with ERP systems and shipping documentation. The company is ideally looking for someone with strong warehouse operations experience, alongside experience in shipping, receiving and inventory management.
Key responsibilities
Booking incoming goods onto the ERP system accurately and promptly.
Picking and issuing parts to ensure production jobs are ready when required.
Coordinating domestic and international shipments.
Preparing and completing all required shipping and receiving documentation.
Liaising with couriers and dealing with inbound or outbound shipment delays.
Maintaining accurate inventory records and completing regular cycle counts.
Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies to prevent production delays.
Checking received items against purchase orders.
Ensuring stock is correctly labelled, stored and easily accessible.
Supporting production and technical teams with stores-related queries.
Maintaining a clean, organised and well-controlled stores environment.
Ensuring correct handling of components, including ESD-sensitive items.
Working closely with Supply Chain, Operations and other internal departments.What we're looking for: The successful Logistics Coordinator/Stores Person will ideally have:
Previous experience within shipping, receiving and inventory management.
Strong experience within warehouse or stores operations, ideally within manufacturing, engineering or a similar environment.
Experience with stock control and cycle counting.
A good understanding of material handling and shipping documentation.
Experience using ERP or stock management systems.
Good Microsoft Office skills.
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
Confidence communicating with suppliers, couriers and internal departments.
The ability to multitask and work to deadlines in a busy environment.
A positive, flexible and proactive approach.Experience within procurement or inventory control would also be advantageous.
