Job Description:
The successful candidate will support the Supply Chain Manager and Logistics Coordinator with the purchasing and movement of goods into and out of the business
As the Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for raising and managing purchase orders
Liaising with suppliers, coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries
As the Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator you will be tracking shipments and resolving any delivery or invoice discrepancies.
You will also monitor stock requirements and supplier lead times
As the Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator you will assist with purchasing and freight cost reviews, maintain accurate records and contribute to improving purchasing, logistics and supply chain processes
The role will involve working with overseas suppliers and using an ERP/purchasing system to analyse data and assist with forecasting stock requirements. The successful candidate will also be required to travel to the company's Head Office in Germany for training with the purchasing department Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience in purchasing, logistics, supply chain or a similar coordination role.
Experience of purchasing from overseas suppliers would be highly advantageous.
Previous experience using an ERP or purchasing system is desirable.
Good commercial awareness and understanding of purchasing and delivery processes.
Strong administration and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with suppliers, logistics providers and internal teams.
Good IT skills, including basic Microsoft Office knowledge.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Experience analysing data and assisting with stock forecasting would be advantageous.
Highly motivated, proactive and able to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
Energetic, resilient and solution-focused, with a willingness to learn and develop.
Willingness and ability to travel to Germany for training. This role is commutable from: Newcastle under Lyme, Stoke on Trent, Biddulph, Kidsgrove, Crewe, Sandbach, Congleton, Stone, Stafford, Keele, Leek, Cheadle, Nantwich and surrounding areas
This role would suit candidates with the following experience: Purchase Coordinator, Purchasing Administrator, Purchasing Assistant, Procurement Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Supply Chain Coordinator, Supply Chain Administrator, Purchasing & Logistics Administrator, or an experienced Administrator with purchasing and logistics experience.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
