Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer. They are looking for an experienced Upholsterer to work in their busy factory. This is a permanent, full time role.

Over a year’s recent experience in furniture upholstery.

Strong understanding of upholstery techniques including cutting, sewing, padding, webbing, fitting, and finishing.

Ability to use upholstery tools and machinery safely and correctly.

Good attention to detail with the ability to produce high quality finishes.

Strong problem solving ability when working with complex or bespoke pieces.

Good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Salary: £14.85 per hour + Bonus (circa £40 - £110 a month depending on performance), also discretionary twice annual bonus based on overall company performance.
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7.00am - 4.30pm, Friday 7.00am - 11.00am
Breaks: One 30-minute break (paid), two 15-minute breaks (unpaid)

Responsibilities:

To Upholster various items of furniture from the frame up to finished items.

Use a variety of tools such as staple guns & drills, in addition to hand tools to manufacture a wide range of furniture.

Read and follow upholstery specifications, drawings, and production instructions.

Repair or re-upholster existing furniture when required.

To complete work to a high-quality standard, whilst meeting deadlines.

To work with the production team to achieve the production schedule.
