Job Overview
Thrive Personnel are recruiting on behalf of our client a leading Building contractor based in Elland.
We are looking for experienced Bench Hand Joiners to prepare and assemble timber components for construction and joinery projects. You’ll use workshop tools, follow instructions and help maintain a safe, tidy working area.
Hours of work Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 3pm.
Responsibilities

Measure, cut and prepare materials for fabrication and assembly.

Carry out joinery and carpentry tasks using hand tools and power tools.

Assist with construction work, including roofing, painting, plumbing, masonry or electrical tasks where appropriate to your experience.

Handle and move materials safely, including occasional heavy lifting.

Keep tools and work areas clean, organised and ready for use.
Your impact: Accurate preparation and careful assembly help the team deliver well-fitted components and keep projects progressing smoothly.
Skills

Practical experience or interest in joinery, carpentry, fabrication or assembly.

Confidence using hand tools; familiarity with power tools is an advantage.

Any experience in roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry or electrical work is welcome but not essential.

Ability to follow instructions, work safely and collaborate with colleagues.
