A specialist engineering consultancy is looking for an Instrumentation & Monitoring Technician to join their team in Oxford.
This is a hands-on opportunity suited to Civil Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering graduates looking to build a career in ground and structural engineering.
The Role
You will work on a range of construction and infrastructure projects, installing and monitoring specialist instrumentation used to assess the performance and behaviour of foundations and structures.
Your responsibilities will include:
Installing fibre-optic sensors and monitoring equipment
Carrying out site-based inspections, measurements and data collection
Monitoring strain, movement, temperature and structural behaviour
Processing and interpreting monitoring data
Supporting engineers with technical assessments and reporting
Working closely with site teams, contractors and engineers
Travelling to project sites across the UK
Maintaining high standards of health and safety
About You
Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject
Graduate or up to 2 years' relevant experience
Interested in practical, site-based engineering
Comfortable working outdoors and travelling to project sites
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
