Laboris Solutions are excited to again work with a great client where you will help design the electrical and control systems behind cutting-edge technology used by specialist manufacturers worldwide.
The role
You'll take ownership of electrical and controls work across customer and in-house projects — from bespoke design through to factory acceptance testing and on-site commissioning. Based at their South Oxfordshire site works around 70% of the time, with roughly 30% international travel to support commissioning and site activities.
What you'll be doing

Designing bespoke electrical and control systems to industry standards

Running Factory Acceptance Tests in-house and at customer sites, and writing up test reports

Supervising electrical engineers on-site (foreign travel required) and supporting commissioning of low voltage control systems

Producing clear, professional site reports
What you'll bring
-
HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (or related field)

5+ years' experience in electrical equipment design/supply

Strong knowledge of low voltage electrical and control systems

CAD proficiency (E Plan experience a plus)

Experience setting up Variable Frequency Inverter Drives (VFDs)

Excellent written/verbal communication and strong problem-solving skills
Nice to have

Thyristor and transformer control, LV distribution & switchgear

PLC/HMI programming and fault-finding (Siemens)

Medium voltage systems knowledge

Experience specifying transformers and supply runs (cable/busbar)
