SENDCo - Early Years Setting
Location: Bristol
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time (flexible considered)
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs in their earliest years? We are seeking a dedicated and caring SENDCo to join a warm and nurturing Early Years setting in Bristol.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced SENDCo or someone with a strong Early Years background who is eager to develop into the role with full support and training.
The Role
As SENDCo, you will play a key role in ensuring all children receive the support they need to thrive. You will work closely with practitioners, parents, and external professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Identifying and supporting children with additional needs
Developing and implementing individual support plans
Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and outside agencies
Supporting staff with strategies to promote inclusion and positive outcomes
Monitoring progress and ensuring best practice in SEND provision
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced as a SENDCo or keen to train and develop into the role
Experienced within an Early Years (EYFS) setting
Passionate about supporting children with SEND
Knowledgeable (or willing to learn) about SEND processes and strategies
A strong communicator who can build positive relationships
Calm, patient, and committed to inclusive practice
Essential / Desirable:
Early Years Level 3 qualification (ideal)
Previous SEND experience (preferred but not essential)
