Job Title: CNC Machine Miller – Nights
Location: Basildon
Hours: Monday–Thursday 19:30–04:30 / Friday 14:30–19:30
Pay: £18.54 per hour + 33% shift allowance
AMLR are looking for a CNC Machine Miller to join a leading aerospace manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment, producing high-quality components to strict aerospace standards.
Key responsibilities for CNC Machine Miller:

Producing precision components from engineering drawings using CNC machines.

Setting and operating CNC milling machines efficiently and accurately.

Working with 3 and 5 Axis milling machines.

Producing high-quality components to tight tolerances.
-
Interpreting engineering drawings and following manufacturing instructions.

Carrying out quality checks on finished components and ensuring work meets the required standard.

Using a wide variety of measuring equipment to inspect components.

Working independently and understanding all aspects of the manufacturing process.

Cleaning and maintaining CNC machines, associated equipment and the machine area.

Working in accordance with ISO 50001, 14001, 45001 and 9001 standards.

Supporting continual improvement across manufacturing, quality, health and safety, environmental, energy and sustainability management.

Supporting the Energy team by identifying opportunities for energy reduction and savings within the scope of the role.
Requirements for CNC Machine Miller:

Fully skilled, time-served CNC Setter/Operator with relevant certificates.

Experience setting and operating 3 and 5 Axis milling machines.

Previous experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings.

Experience using a wide range of measuring equipment.

Computer literate.

Excellent attention to detail and concentration to ensure consistently high-quality components.

Good practical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to follow written instructions and manufacturing procedures.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong commitment to safe working practices.

Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.

Normal colour vision.
