We are looking for a Control Panel Wireman to join a growing industrial controls and automation team. This role is hands-on, focusing on wiring, assembling, and testing industrial control panels. The ideal candidate will have experience working with low-voltage control systems and industrial automation components.
Key Responsibilities for Control Panel Wireman

Wire and assemble control circuits according to schematics.

Route, terminate, and crimp cables, including lugs and connectors.

Connect VFDs, relays, contactors, and PLC terminals.

Work with PLCs, HMIs, terminal blocks, control transformers, and safety circuits.

Apply knowledge of electrical panel wiring and LV switchgear principles.

Assist with panel build, testing, and commissioning preparation.

Ensure work meets BS 7671 / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and company quality standards.
Required Skills & Experience for Control Panel Wireman
Essential:
-
Experience in industrial control panel wiring and assembly.

Ability to work from schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical drawings.

Experience with LV switchgear, VFDs, PLCs, relays, and contactors.

Understanding of control circuits and safety systems.

Knowledge of crimping, lugs, cable routing, and terminations.

Electrical training or apprenticeship preferred (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:

Experience with PLC/HMI installation.

Experience working on industrial automation or instrumentation projects.

Familiarity with international control panel standards.
