MLD Assistant - Reading
Are you a Psychology graduate eager to gain practical experience supporting young people with additional learning needs?
A specialist secondary school in Reading is seeking a dedicated, patient, and enthusiastic MLD Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Teachers, Therapists, or other education and psychology professionals.
As an MLD Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to students with Moderate Learning Difficulties.
Support students in accessing the curriculum and developing their academic skills.
Help students build confidence, independence, communication, and social skills.
Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement individualised learning strategies.
Adapt and reinforce classroom activities to ensure students can engage effectively with their learning.
Monitor and record students' progress, engagement, behaviour, and wellbeing.We're looking for an MLD Assistant who is:
