Job Summary:
Operates computerized tomographic (CT) equipment to produce diagnostic scans as directed by ordering providers. Also responsible for performing general x-rays.
Specific Elements and Essential Functions:
Perform CT and Radiographic procedures; obtain patient history, answers patient questions, and explains the procedure.
Maintains equipment; including QC testing, informs appropriate person of malfunctions or potential problems.
Maintains competency and enhances professional growth and development through continuing education, conferences, and seminars; attends and updates mandatory training. Maintains BLS certification.
Supports and upholds established hospital and department policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control, and codes and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
Participates in performance improvement activities; quality improvement and patient safety activities; assists in maintaining compliance with ACR accreditation and other internal and external regulatory standards including the code of conduct.
Performs duties in a cost-effective manner in an effort to avoid waste of hospital resources without jeopardizing the quality of care and service.

Hours: Per Diem, must be flexible to work various shifts
Salary: Base salary of $36.00 – $45.00 per hour based on experience.

Requirements:
Required Education/Experience:
Graduate of an approved Radiography Training program
Minimum of 1 year of radiographic and CT experience required, 2 or more years of experience with CT training is preferred
IV injection certified or willing to obtain
NYS Radiography license required
ARRT (R) required, CT certification preferred
Must maintain BLS certification
