_*Phaxis is seeking a skilled Contract School Psychologist for one of the top school districts in WA for the 2024-2025 School Year!*_
As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and well-being of students K-12. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to provide comprehensive psychological services to students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess students' academic, social, and emotional needs
- Provide individual and group counseling to address mental health concerns
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to support students' behavioral and emotional development
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEP/ESA's) for students with special needs
- Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed
- Collaborate with community resources to support students' overall well-being
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Experience:
- Post-residency experience as a School Psychologist preferred
- Knowledge of psychotherapy techniques and interventions for children and adolescents
- Familiarity with pediatric psychology and developmental psychology
- Strong understanding of diagnostic evaluation procedures for learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, and mental health conditions
- Experience in mental health counseling and behavioral health interventions
- Proficient in data collection and analysis for monitoring student progress
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid WA licensure in or certification as a School Psychologist
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
