Payroll Administrator (Temp Ongoing / Potential Temp to Perm)
Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team ASAP. This role is ideal for a payroll professional who can confidently manage payroll while helping to improve processes, train colleagues, and provide expert guidance on payroll and pension compliance.
Role: Payroll Administrator
Location: Gravesend (Free Parking)
Hours: Flexible part-time hours available
Pay: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour
Start: ASAP
Contract: Ongoing Temporary Position with potential to become permanent
Key Responsibilities
Processing weekly and monthly payroll using Moneysoft Payroll Manager
Managing payroll accurately and in line with HMRC legislation
Administering workplace pensions through NEST
Managing auto-enrolment, pension contributions, opt-ins, opt-outs, postponements, and pension compliance
Processing and supporting C.I.S (Construction Industry Scheme) payments and subcontractor records
Identifying and implementing payroll process improvements
Training and supporting colleagues on payroll best practice
Acting as the payroll subject matter expert, providing guidance and resolving queries
Ensuring payroll records are maintained accurately and confidentially
Liaising with employees and stakeholders regarding payroll and pension-related matters
About You
Proven experience in a payroll administration position
Strong working knowledge of Moneysoft Payroll Manager
Experience managing workplace pensions, ideally through NEST
A solid understanding of auto-enrolment legislation and pension compliance requirements
Previous experience processing or supporting C.I.S payments
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
Experience training, coaching, or supporting colleagues
Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving
The ability to identify opportunities to streamline and improve payroll processes
