We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to support pupils aged 5-19 with a range of special educational needs, including SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), alongside associated social, emotional, and learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people and supporting pupils with complex needs to thrive within a specialist SEN school setting. Learning Support Assistant (SEN) Role:
Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including SLD, PMLD, SEMH, and additional learning needs
Providing 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual learning and care needs
Assisting with personalised learning programmes, care plans, and sensory-based activities
Supporting communication, engagement, emotional regulation, and independence
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
Building positive and trusting relationships that promote confidence, wellbeing, and personal developmentLearning Support Assistant (SEN) Requirements:
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with complex learning needs
A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
Experience supporting pupils with SLD and/or PMLD (desirable but not essential)
Experience with personal care, manual handling, or sensory support (preferred)
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Previous experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults (desirable)
