About the Role
All Square Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading engineering firm based in Chelmsford, Essex, to recruit a dedicated Stores Operative for their busy logistics team. This temp to perm opportunity is ideal for a candidate with solid stores or warehouse experience who is looking to build a long-term career within a stable, well-established engineering environment. You’ll play a key role in keeping materials moving efficiently from intake right through to dispatch, ensuring production teams always have what they need, when they need it.
Key Responsibilities

Support regular stock takes to maintain accurate inventory records.

Handle and move materials safely throughout the warehouse and production areas.

Carry out manual handling tasks in line with health and safety guidelines.

Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring all accompanying documentation is accurate and complete.

Assist with the intake of new stock, checking it is correctly logged and stored.

Maintain a clean, organised, and well-ordered stores environment.

Liaise with production teams to ensure timely and accurate material supply.

Report any stock discrepancies or issues promptly to the relevant team.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

Prior experience in a stores, warehouse, or stock control role is essential.

Competent in manual handling, with a good level of physical fitness.

Strong attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and stock counting.

A reliable, hard-working attitude with the ability to work independently.

Good communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.
