About the Role
A welcoming nursery in Oxfordshire is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join their Early Years team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in childcare and gain valuable experience within a supportive and nurturing environment.
Working alongside experienced Early Years practitioners, you will help create a safe, engaging, and stimulating setting where children are encouraged to learn, explore, and develop through play. No formal childcare qualification is required, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for working with young children.
Key Responsibilities

Support children aged 0–5 years with their learning, care, and development

Assist with delivering engaging activities and play experiences

Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

Support children's social, emotional, physical, and communication development

Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, toileting, and transitions

Observe children's progress and provide feedback to the nursery team

Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
-
A genuine passion for working with young children
-
Previous experience working with children is desirable, whether in a nursery, school, care, or voluntary setting

Caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
Willingness to learn and develop within an Early Years setting

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Right to Work in the UK
Desirable:
-
Experience within a nursery or Early Years setting

Knowledge of the EYFS framework

Paediatric First Aid qualification
-
Interest in completing an Early Years or Childcare qualification
