Part-Time Receptionist (Afternoon Cover) – Fixed Term Contract
Location: Gravesend
Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:00pm – 6:00pm (25 hours per week)
Contract: Fixed-Term (12 Months) with the potential to become permanent
We are recruiting for an exciting new role on the water front in Gravesend, Kent! Our client is looking for a professional, organised and customer-focused Receptionist to join their Facilities team on a part-time basis, providing afternoon reception cover.
As the first point of contact for visitors, contractors and employees, you will play a key role in delivering an excellent front-of-house service while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of reception and facilities.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver a professional and welcoming reception service to all visitors and staff.

Manage incoming calls, emails, post and deliveries.

Coordinate visitor access, security passes and parking permits.

Support meeting room and pool car bookings.

Complete daily reception administration and maintain accurate records.

Liaise with Facilities, Security and internal departments to ensure the efficient running of the building.

Assist with general facilities administration, health and safety procedures and emergency protocols where required.

Provide additional administrative support to the Facilities team as needed.
About You
The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience in a reception, front-of-house or customer service role.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

A proactive, professional and approachable manner.

The ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
Experience within a corporate or facilities environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
