Production Operative
£12.71 per hour, Burgess Hill, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday rotating shifts (06:30am - 3:00pm and 10:00am - 6:30pm), Permanent, 20 days holiday + bank holidays, pension, healthcare scheme, team events
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Production Operative to join a growing manufacturing business specialising in the production of specialist print solutions. Reporting to the Production Supervisors and working closely with Production, Design and Client Services teams, the Production Operative will support the production process, ensuring products are manufactured, packed and dispatched to the highest quality standards.
Picking, collating and packing components accurately to required standards
Supporting production schedules and ensuring targets are met
Maintaining quality standards and following company procedures at all times
Recording production information and material usage accurately within company systems
Operating production equipment following training and established guidelines
Carrying out basic machine checks, cleaning and maintenance support activities
Reporting faults, discrepancies or production issues promptly
Packing, labelling and preparing products for dispatch
Assisting colleagues across production departments as required
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
Requirements
The successful Production Operative will be reliable, punctual and possess excellent attention to detail. Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment is desirable, although full training will be provided. Basic computer skills are desirable, alongside a willingness to learn new processes and equipment. You will be a proactive team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing quality work. This role could suit someone who has worked as a Manufacturing Operative, Production Assistant or Assembly Operative.
