Our client is recruiting for an Apprenticeship Programmes Officer to help manage its rapidly expanding apprenticeship and adult skills programmes in response to growing industry demand. The successful candidate will have experience coordinating apprenticeship programmes and a passion for delivering a high-quality learner experience.
The Apprenticeship Programmes Officer role will involve using learner management systems, reporting and process improvement to strengthen compliance, enhance learner support and improve progression and retention.
About the role:
This role supports the continued growth of our client's apprenticeship and adult skills provision. Working closely with the Apprenticeship Operations Manager, the Apprenticeship Programmes Officer will help deliver high-quality apprenticeship programmes through effective coordination, monitoring, compliance and learner support.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Support the Apprenticeship Operations Manager in coordinating the delivery of apprenticeship and adult skills programmes, ensuring learners achieve the highest possible levels of progression and success.

Monitor learner progress, off-the-job training and attendance, providing individual support to address barriers to learning and improve outcomes.

Support implementation and ongoing development of the learner management system to improve data accuracy, reporting and programme performance. Assist with developing online learning resources and electronic training records.

Maintain a strong working knowledge of apprenticeship funding rules, government audit requirements, financial incentives and relevant policy developments. Ensure programme documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with funding and quality assurance requirements.

Support the preparation, delivery and recording of online teaching sessions and learner progress reviews.

Coordinate personal development and enrichment opportunities for apprentices, working with external organisations where appropriate to maximise learner benefits.

Support the development and integration of AI tools into programme delivery, learner support and administrative processes where appropriate.

Contribute to the delivery of the Quality Improvement Plan and support continuous quality improvement in line with Ofsted expectations.

Maintain professional knowledge through continuous development, attending industry events, conferences and careers activities as required.
Experience Required:
Essential:
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a college or training provider within a curriculum or learner support role

Experience using Learner Management systems within apprenticeship training programmes

Experience of planning work-based learning programmes within a team

Good knowledge of levy-funded apprenticeship programmes and associated funding rules
Desirable:

Teacher training or assessor qualification at level 3 or above

Experience of working with post 16 learners to support individual needs and help overcome barriers to progress

Knowledge of training pathways and apprenticeships in the maritime and marine leisure sector
Other Duties:
To ensure effective service delivery, flexibility is required and the postholder may occasionally undertake duties not specifically listed above. Such duties will be appropriate to the level of the role.
Occasional evening and weekend working may be required, with Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) available. The may also require travel to locations across the UK to attend meetings, conferences, events and training activities.
