Office Administrator (Transport)
Location: Abingdon
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Salary: £32,500 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 7:00pm (1-hour lunch break)
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Office Administrator to join their busy transport team in Abingdon on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is a varied and fast-paced role, ideal for someone with previous transport or logistics administration experience who enjoys providing excellent customer service and working as part of a close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities
Providing administrative support to the transport operation.
Liaising with customers, drivers and Pallet-Track depots to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Handling a high volume of inbound telephone calls and responding to customer enquiries.
Monitoring deliveries and ensuring customer goods are delivered on time.
Producing and maintaining KPI reports.
Resolving delivery issues and communicating updates to customers.
Supporting the wider office team with general administrative duties.
About You
Previous administration experience within a transport or logistics environment is essential.
Experience working with Pallet-Track or a pallet network would be advantageous.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Able to work well under pressure in a busy office environment.
A proactive team player with a positive attitude.
