Our client is looking for a reliable and hardworking Communal Cleaner / Estate Cleaner to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous cleaning or housing sector experience who takes pride in maintaining high standards and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out cleaning duties within communal entrances, stairwells, corridors, bin stores, and other designated areas.

Undertake a variety of cleaning tasks including:
Sweeping and vacuuming
Washing floors, walls, ceilings and doors
Cleaning fixtures and fittings
Internal window cleaning (including the safe use of ladders where required)
Litter picking
Graffiti removal
Carpet cleaning
Erecting signs and notice boards when required* Complete all work to a high standard and in accordance with cleaning specifications and Health & Safety requirements.

Carry out Fire Risk Assessment actions, alarm checks and emergency lighting inspections within communal areas, reporting any defects or concerns.

Plan and organise workloads to maximise efficiency and ensure all scheduled works are completed.

Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are available before starting work and used correctly in line with manufacturer instructions.

Maintain vehicle stock levels and ensure supplies are replenished when required.

Complete all necessary paperwork, including work records, timesheets, material usage records and any other documentation required.

Ensure all equipment, tools, vehicles and materials are kept secure, maintained and in good working order.

Undertake any additional duties reasonably required to support the business.
Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in a communal cleaning, estate cleaning, housing, caretaking or similar cleaning role.

Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, chemicals and safe working practices.

Understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a cleaning environment.

Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high standards.
-
Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to interact professionally with residents, customers and colleagues.
-
Full UK Driving Licence essential.
