JOB TITLE: People Administrator
ROLE TYPE: Permanent, Full Time
LOCATION: High Wycombe
HOURS/DAYS (per week): TBC / Flexi-time working hours, office based
SALARY RANGE: £30,000 to £33,000 (depending on experience)
NOTICE & PROBATION PERIODS: 6-month probation, 1 month notice up to 5 years, 2 months’ notice after 5 years.
BENEFITS/BONUSES/HOLIDAYS: 25 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays. Birthday off. Out of hours social events.

In light of this exciting stage of growth, they are now looking for a People Administrator to support their most important asset—their people.
JOB ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
As a People Administrator, you’ll be the first point of contact for most HR and people-related queries, providing efficient administrative support across the full employee lifecycle. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being organised, building relationships, and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
HR Administration

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records

Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and HR correspondence from templates

Administer onboarding and offboarding processes, including any right-to-work checks and induction scheduling

Process starters, leavers, and employee changes on the HR system

Track and manage absence, holiday, and sickness records on the HR system
Recruitment Support

Coordinate job adverts, liaise with agencies, and manage candidate communications

Schedule interviews and prepare interview packs

Support the onboarding experience for new joiners
Payroll & Benefits
Learning & Development

Maintain training records and CPD logs
-
Coordinate bookings for all internal and external training courses

Coordinate training membership renewals
-
Maintain administration for apprenticeships
-
Support the annual appraisal cycle and future planning meetings
Work Planning
- Work with the Head of Work Planning to allocate team resource, identify gaps and escalate any issues
General

Assist with employee engagement initiatives and social events

Support ad hoc HR projects and policy updates

Provide first-line guidance on HR policies and procedures
ANY SPECIFIC TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Previous experience in an HR or people administration role

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

Confident handling confidential information with discretion

Clear, professional communication—written and verbal

A team player with a proactive and positive attitude

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Right to work in the UK
Desirable:

Experience in a professional services environment

Familiarity with HR systems

Working towards or holding a CIPD Level 3 qualification

Understanding of UK employment law fundamentals
