Job Title: Re‑assemble Operative
Summary: We’re looking for a skilled Re‑assemble Operative to join a leading engineering manufacturer based in Bolton on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone experienced with hand tools and assembly techniques to work in a role offering stability, long-term prospects, and great workplace benefits.
Salary: £35,500
Location and Working Pattern: Bolton – on‑site, permanent position 4‑day working week (Monday to Thursday), 37 hours per week on the shop floor
Client Overview: Our client is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of specialist engineered products, working on projects where precision and quality are paramount.
Responsibilities:
Assemble doors and related products using stock parts, materials and insulation to meet drawings
Fit custom parts using appropriate hand tools
Finish products to a standard acceptable for final delivery
Complete associated documentation according to project requirements
Support manual handling tasks as needed
Maintain a clean, safe working environment and report hazards to supervisors
Carry out any additional duties as required to support the teamMust‑have Requirements
Experience using small hand tools and measuring equipment
Good time management and ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong understanding of health and safety standards
Ability to follow fitting instructions, assembly drawings and standard operating proceduresNice‑to‑have Skills
Background in steel door manufacture or similar
Working knowledge of door hardware and locking systems
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodology
FLT licence (valid)
