Job Title: Commercial Administrator

Job Overview:
As a Commercial Administrator, you will report to the Managing Director and play a key role within the Commercial Team, ensuring completed engineer jobs accurately align with client purchase orders and customer portal submissions.
This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong administrative capability, and the confidence to take ownership of queries through to resolution. You will be responsible for identifying discrepancies, resolving them promptly, and ensuring accurate invoicing to support timely payment.
You will act as a vital link between engineers, internal departments, and customers to ensure all commercial documentation is accurate, approved, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure completed job information matches customer purchase orders and portal data accurately
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
• Take ownership of commercial queries through to satisfactory resolution
• Process and seek approval for engineer uplift requests efficiently
• Liaise with internal teams and customers to resolve documentation or billing issues
• Support accurate invoicing and assist in achieving timely payment
• Maintain strict confidentiality appropriate to a commercial environment
• Comply with Data Protection legislation and safeguard personal information in line with company policy
• Adhere to all Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards
• Follow Company policies, procedures, and codes of business ethics
• Travel when required for business or training purposes
• Undertake additional duties within the remit of the role as required

Experience Required:
• Previous experience in an administrative role
• Previous experience working within a busy commercial environment
• Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent attention to detail with strong accuracy skills
• Basic numerical ability with good IT proficiency (including Microsoft Office and Excel)
• A strong team player with a proactive and positive approach to work
• Experience measuring work completed and preparing accurate invoices within an engineering or construction environment would be desirable.
