Our client is seeking a proactive and highly organised Administrator to support the development and day-to-day operation of a growing professional consultancy business. This role extends beyond traditional administration and will involve supporting operational systems, project tracking, compliance processes, documentation control, and client coordination.
Working closely with the Director and technical team, you will help ensure the business operates efficiently, professionally, and in line with quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the setup and ongoing management of operational systems and internal processes
• Maintaining project records, registers, and tracking spreadsheets
• Managing document control and formatting technical and compliance documentation
• Assisting with quality management procedures aligned to ISO 9001 principles
• Preparing reports, correspondence, and client communications
• Managing inboxes, calendars, and meeting coordination
• Preparing fee proposals and client quotations
• Preparing and issuing statutory building control documentation, including applications, notices, certificates, and formal correspondence
• Collating audit information and performance returns through internal IT systems
• Supporting regulatory and compliance documentation where required
• Assisting with the development of templates, procedures, and guidance documents
• Providing general administrative support across the business
Essential Requirements
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
• Strong written English, grammar, and attention to detail
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Previous experience within an administrative or coordination role
• Experience working with ISO 9001 quality systems or similar
Desirable
• Experience within construction, engineering, property, or professional services
• Experience preparing formal or statutory documentation
• Document control or compliance administration experience
• Experience improving or implementing office systems and processes
• Familiarity with CRM or project management software
• Office management experience
