About the role of Assistant Buyer
As Assistant Buyer, you will be joining a well-established UK based Main Contractor who have an office based in Essex/East London. They work across a variety of sectors including residential, regeneration, mixed-use, education, and later living schemes. They are known for having lots of long servers and likely to promote from within.
Founded over 60 years ago and work closely with local authorities, housing associations, developers and investors across London and the South East.
Key Responsibilities of Assistant Buyer:
Include but not limited to:
Assisting Senior Buyers with the procurement of construction materials, plant hire and subcontract services
Raising purchase orders
Obtaining quotations from suppliers
Monitoring delivery schedules
Negotiating prices
Coordinating with site managers, quantity surveyors and contract managers Key Requirements of Assistant Buyer
This company are looking for a well-rounded Assistant Buyer who is able to build and maintain relationships with approved suppliers.
Approximately 2 years of Buying experience
